What is Soap?

Soap as defined by the FDA is a fat (or acid) mixed with or treated with an alkali (or base). Soap is the result of a complex chemical reaction called saponification. This occurs when fats and lye are mixed together. During soap making when saponification happens NO ACTIVE LYE is left in the actual soap.

Commercial companies that make popular brands such as Dial, Caress, Lever 2000, Dove, etc, make what you would call a chemical detergent NOT SOAP. They have been making lye-less soap since the 1940's. There is very little difference (if any) between a bottle of Cheer, or Tide and a bar of Irish Spring or Dove. There is a reason why people complain about having dry skin after using commercial soaps. They (greedy money hungry corporations) remove the natural glycerin which acts as a moisturizer and replace it with whatever cheap synthetic additive is abundant.

The human skin is the largest organ covering our body. Skin is a breathing barrier that protects the delicate, sensitive, and intricate inward parts of our bodies from outside forces (the environment). The skin has the ability to absorb whatever it comes into contact with. It is impossible to wash 100% of anything off of your body which is why more and more people are refusing to use cancer causing (carcinogenic) skin irritants that are in commercial soaps.

Real soap has glycerin in it. Real soap is simply oils, and lye. Our soaps are made from kosher all natural vegetable base oils and butters such as; olive oil, avocado, shea butter, coconut oil, and almond oil just to name a few. We also use essential oils and all natural colorants such as; paprika, turmeric, coa-coa powder, and other organic products. For sweet fragrances we only use high quality oils, and micas on occasions.

FAQS

Q.  Can you make soap without lye or an acid?

A.  No. In ancient times people used the ashes and rain water with animal fats to make soap. The ash and the rain water are The Most High's formula for lye.

Q.  How do you make your soaps?

A.  There are several methods used for our soaps. C/P Cold Process = oils + lye mixed together at certain temperature. H/P Hot Process = oils + lye cooked over low heat for a period of time.

Q. How do I store my soap?

A.  Keep it dry after use. Do not leave it in water, near the tub, or the sink. We DO NOT use any chemicals to preserve the soap. All we use, and needed, are beeswax, palmoil, and other natural ingredients that would lead to a longer lasting bar. (Please note some soaps may be softer than others due to its natural ingredients, example; shea butters, mango butters, etc.

Q.  What does FO and EO means?

A.  FO means Fragrance Oils. These are oils that do not not occur naturally. For example; Babypowder, Channe# 5, Usher, and Polo. EO stands for Essential Oils that can be found naturally in the Earth, example; lime, orange, coconut, frankincense, etc.
